almedia interactive limited (ami) was established in the United Kingdom in 1998. We are specialising in a range of disciplines such as, edutainment, font & logo design, graphic design, multimedia products and animation, and we are directly targeting Arab communities and Arab businesses across the world.

almedia interactive limited is based in the town of Reading, Berkshire, on the Thames Valley. The Thames Valley is sometimes nicknamed the Silicon Valley of Britain due to the fact that it embraces many big players in IT. Companies like Microsoft, Sun, Oracle, and many others operate from offices in the outskirts of Reading. Reading is midway between London and Oxford. 22 minutes away from the heart of London by train and has excellent transport service to Heathrow airport, Gatwick Airport and to the southern cities of England.

font design

Our team embraces key designers and artists who have been involved in font design and typography since 1991. Andalus is one such design which has been licensed to Microsoft, turning it the most used Arabic font in Arabic media such as magazines, publishing firms, TV channels. It is now being used by hundreds of thousands of Arabic software users. Other designs are being used by Sayidaty magazine.

The designer of the website of a leading international Arab newspaper has joined the almedia team. His website design aquired him the Abu Dhabi TV best media website award in 2001. He has been involved in the design and development of educational software such as Letter Garden, Number Garden, Alefon Baa'on and Kan Yama Kan.
